The Lanalus(Creature)

The Lanalus are large magic squid fuckers. They spook the shit outta explorers a lot cuz of their length being so long that it takes minutes to even attempt to swim the length of them.
They are also innately magical being able to manipulate the water around them with force magic. They use this force magic to defend themselves in various ways as well, whether it be by propelling themselves faster to escape or by attacking whatever the danger is. They feed by using this ability as well, using their magic to incapacitate and also bring the prey to its beak.

They reside exclusively in The Depths on my worlb as well which means, along with every other nightmare in the depths, that not much is known about them outside of the depths.
They pose as a decent threat to party members if they accidentally fuck with one or encounter a starving one, or possibly some weirdo started controlling them telepathically somehow. Beyond that they make for a great backdrop creature for the inner parts of The Depths.
